*Mid-nineteenth century Chinese altar table, with carved floral details on the frieze and drawers. Drawers are surrounded by carved bamboo details. The front legs have carved septers terminating in hoofed feet. The three drawers have carved bone knobs. The top has lost it's original red lacquer finish and exhibits 150 years of wear and candle burning, giving it a fine depth of patina. 76in. wide X 14in. depth X 42.5in. height at the ends.
Also shown are two side chairs from a set of six sides and two arms of signed "L&JG Stickley Syracuse" dining chairs (set of 8). They are made of cherry and have rush seats. All in excellent condition. c. 1930. Side chairs are 18in. wide X 21in. deep X 42.5in high at the back. Arms are 24in wide X 24in. deep X 42.5in. high at the back.
